Organic Oranges

Our oranges are grown in Calabria using organic production methods. Our orange groves grow with the help of appropriate agronomic practices (green manure, burying of pruning residues, natural fertilizer, etc.) in compliance with biodiversity and the entire ecosystem. Organic oranges are harvested only after the order and shipped with delivery within 48 hours in most Italian locations.

Organic Oranges: Why They Are Good for You

Organic oranges are an excellent source of vitamins, especially vitamins C and A: to meet the daily requirement of Vitamin C, it is sufficient to consume two per day. They are also rich in mineral salts, such as potassium (it is among the fruits with the highest concentration, such as avocado and banana) and calcium. An orange contributes 20% of the daily requirement of fiber, which we remember helps to satiate our body and reduce the absorption of sugars (reducing cholesterol). Furthermore, oranges improve the absorption of iron, useful for the formation of red blood cells. Finally, according to scientists, oranges are also an important source of antioxidants that help to make our immune system stronger and fight aging.

Untreated oranges

Our organic oranges are not treated even after harvesting. They are not waxed, to make their appearance more pleasant and shiny, nor treated with anti-mold to increase their shelf life. The peel can be safely used in cooking, for example for the preparation of sweets, liqueurs, candied fruit and jams.
